So after the looking at the 3rd place last night i started going into apartment overload but we got one more in before i shut down. UGH. The first place we looked at was nice, cheap, and we could deal with it so i think. It was a 2 bedroom with a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and basement. It's been on the market for sometime and i think that caused them to lower the asking price for rent. The second place we looked at was very nice but way too much money. Way way too much. It has a pool in the complex but it's only open from 11am-7pm? And they have a gym again open 5am-11pm which is better then the pool but what about 24 hour since you have key passes for it anyway? The pool i can understand not being open 24 hour but it could be open till like 10pm at least. Anyways it's a moot point because it's too overpriced.
The third place OH the third place you will forever haunt my memory. Sometimes i feel like i am walking through a convicted felons house. Or a child molester....third place that is what i felt like walking through you. 1st you know it's going to be bad when the stench gets you before the front door is even opened. Then all the peeling paint (yes people peeling paint on ceilings as well). It was dirty, dank, smelly, and OVER priced. It would have been a nice place had it been kept up with. B/c there were neat built ins. but like i said it looked like a convicted felon or child molester had been living there for 20 years never letting anyone inside.
The fourth place was....ok it was....OY! It reminded me of the wardens quarters at the Jim Thorpe prison. It went around in a circle so most of the rooms were connected. They were trying to improve it like make up for not keeping up with it for years. But it failed. Was over priced with no refrigerator or dish washer. It had a big attic that was finished but had no heat or a/c going up to it. Oh but in the attic my nightmare almost came true! I always have dreams where i can't get away from whatever is causing me stress b/c my feet go through the floor/ground and i can't get them back out!! The one floor board was broken and almost had a foot go through it! NOT cool! So yikes to that!
After all the apartment looking we went to Red Lobster. Mind you i felt slightly guilty going there without a mother or a grandmother. They both like the lobster but my grandmother more so....not that I have ever taken her but one day i want to. Anyhow, we had dinner there and tried to regain our sanity. Did it work.....i don't think so. Maybe b/c we lost it a long time ago.
