Can i get a moment?

So lots of things happening and not happening! I finished the baby blanket. It's cute and soft and i gave it to the father to be. he seemed really touched by it. Which leads me to believe that no one gave them a hand made blanket yet.... i guess all their friends and family are buy it types. Interesting. (also he quick put it in his car so that his wife could open it 1st which i think is super cute.)

I attend a really pretty wedding this weekend. It was nice and fun and the bride looked pretty! :O) Not to mention she is super nice and now i have to start working on the blanket for her. (so i have taken it out twice oh wait make that three times and i think i can now really make some head way on it.) Attending this wedding i think woke my honey up or something as to the cost of weddings/receptions. So he had a mini break down over it. I think i have managed to talk him off his ledge. Not sure.

He has perhaps come to the realization that we are paying for whatever we have. (i already knew this and am quite fine with this in fact i like this.) I think that made him realize that you can't just pick a fancy place and go from there. 1st you need a list of how many people and depending on that you then go to the venue. Then the food. I have no doubt that no matter where we have it that we can make it lovely. I already have a thousand and one ideas on decorations... and a theme.... and the list goes on and on. I just need to ease his mind and get him out of fancy pantsy mode i think.

I left my cell phone at my mom's house last night and she is truly hilarious. I called her from the Honey's phone when i got home just to make sure i did leave it there. She said "Oh yeah i was wondering what that fancy calculator was doing on the counter." LOL yes mom i left my fancy calculator at your house. So today with out it i feel a little naked, a little dirty, a little happy, a little sad, a little nutty, and a little free.

I am 90% certain i will be joining a roller derby team real soon! I can't wait!!! it will be awesome! so i hope. I feel like the physical activity of it alone would be awesome. I don't know yet for 100% but i really am excited about it. All the people involved that i have meet so far are so super nice. Fun FUN!

3 day luck

So this weekend was great! 3 days of awesome doesn't happen often and this weekend it did! Friday i jogged/walked/died with my friend Kristin. then we went to dinner with her friends and brother and pretty much spent the rest of the night laughing. Hysterically. I laughed so much my jaw hurt. Saturday Katie and i went shopping and i found a really pretty dress for the wedding i am going to (note NOT in just attending) next weekend! Also everything that i wanted at Target seemed to be on sale! FUN!! Then we went to my other friends house where we proceeded to laugh our butts off (they are still there though) all night. So Sunday was a nice fun day with the honey! No fighting no crazy-ness just fun! we even went to visit Kristin at Uno's where i got yummy flat bread pizza & pizza skins!

I just had to document the 3 days in a row of fun b/c it really happens quite less then you would think. Also in there i stole some music for Topod from my friend's computers! I ate lots of yummy things! and i am now ready for this week to be over quickly.

Oh we didn't get to see the neat-o too good to be true apartment on Sunday b/c the son decided not to move out. Which when you think about it he would have to crazy to want to move out especially in these times. save that money. It's just too bad for us he wised up. but then again maybe it's not b/c what if we were in there and he wanted to come back and we got told to take a hike! UGH that would be awful.

Alrighty i am going to go try and work or something. Have the best Monday ever. or something.

Tuesday

Horrid day. Boring.... wretched. Hoping i don't have to join the meeting. Trying to make pretty reports. Hoping i don't explode and punch someone. He does deserve it, oh how badly he does. UPDATE: I'm off the hook so far! Sweet marmalade! I was about 90% certain i was going to get yelled at today. So far that wont happen.... so far.

So anyhow, crocheting still happening. No soccer last night. Went to my moms last night. She made yummy food. We got into a tiff at the end of the night. Yeah i annoyed her but she didn't have to pinch my fat so hard. Grrrrrr. But we hugged and made up. Fun times!

Pay day needs to come like now i want to:

- Pay off Credit Card #5
- Pay back someone for an iPod
- Buy some new cheap sweaters

Speaking of iPods i got a purple iPod Nano that i seem to be in love with. it's cute and has all these neat things. So what if Apple is trying to systematically control each human by getting them all to buy iPods. I guess I'm a Pod person now. (i know the horror.)

Sunday we had lunch at Honeys Dad's house. It was interesting. His step mom and I had a good conversation about Stores and their customer loyalty base. how some places stay in business and you wonder how. don't get me wrong i <3 the big K but how do they stay in business? while their clearance items are awesome.... their everyday prices on everyday things leave something to be desired. Anyhow, it's all very interesting.... kind makes me interested in business until i realize i hate corporations and selling. I'm to honest and i care too much.

FRIDAY!

You know around here Fridays are like gold....ok better then gold b/c i don't like yellow gold but gold is worth money so i guess lets look at it that way.....Fridays are like gold. (lol) And it's Friday and though i have no idea what i am really doing this weekend.... it's a weekend. And as long as i'm not going to the dentist, or some other doctor it should be FUN!!

I am rapidly getting done the baby star blanket as i suspected would happen. (Hey sis i will totally make you one in lap size.... pick out some colors!!) I haven't gotten much of the newest forever blanket done....no sweat. I do however need to buy more yarn for the newest forever blanket.

I have over the last year maybe 2 fallen in love with these amazing wedding photographers and thought how awesome would it be to have them there for my wedding. BUT in REAL life i can't afford them and even if could do i want to pay that much? AWESOME PICS yes but i don't want to be paying for my wedding years after my wedding. So i think most likely there wont be a photographer just the people around us pictures. Is that crazy?

My goal for my "wedding" is to not spend too much but still have fun and make it our own. I already have one giant part of it in place and i kind of don't care too much about the rest. As far as the food and such goes....doesn't mass production of food always suck? i kind of just wish i could have yummy appetizers but i know i can't. People going to a party at night would want dinner or they might start getting crabby.

So anyways will this blog become an all about wedding blog.... doubt it. from time to time i might talk about it. but i don't see it becoming an every post topic.

Anyways, my b-day was awesome! SUPER fun! SUPER GREAT! SUPER THANKS TO EVERYONE! :o) (i think i gained 10 pounds....)

Today I am now 28… do you think our bodies know it’s our birthday? Do you think they remember being born? Yep those are my deep deep thoughts at the age of 28!!

I am having an awesome birthday it started last night at my sisters! Her Husband and her got me cuppycakes, an Elvis mini suit case (which totally reminds me of the cute little suit cases we had growing up so fun!), an Elvis skull t-shirt, and a Perez notebook! LOL Then she made me a mustache stamp and an angel mail stamp! FUN! My mom made me yummy food and she bought me a pretty flower ring and bracelet, and exercise videos!! Also my mom made me chocolate chip cookies my favorite!! Then we all proceeded to have fun!

At midnight my honey wished me a happy birthday! (although it’s not as neat as the year he wrote happy birthday on his stomach with glitter glue and when he took the glitter glue off it was still there b/c it left a mark….ooops but cute.) Today at work I got flowers, a cookie cake (I didn’t eat any b/c….), my awesome co-workers also got me a giant ricekrispie treat that I wanted!!! They are awesome!! Then we got lunch and we got to take an extra 30 minutes for lunch!!

Tonight is POCOS! And who knows what else! I get to see my awesome friend Julie! She makes me want to be a better person. I can’t wait to hear her stories from this summer and her travels. I also get to see my other awesome friends Katie (hmmmm the topazluvskatie Katie….) and Charis (she has the cute not so baby anymore baby John). AND the honey face will be joining us as well! FUN!

And I appreciate all the happy wishes from everyone…. It’s enough to make a girl think she is important or something. :o) ok bye bye now.

Productive

Well this weekend as weekends go did not go according to plan but it was still fun. Friday my friend Kristin and I jogged/walked/died. then she took me to Rey Azteca for a early b-day dinner! The honey joined us so that was fun. Then we did some light shopping. I got two pairs of tights and that's about it. Kristin however found a few cute things! Good shopping!!

Then Saturday I visited Katie in the morning. where Pumpkin pancakes were made! Yum!! Then i visited my mother. She is cute. Then i visited the storage unit. (it makes me sad inside to see all my pretty things hiding away forever ever ever ever.) Then i went to a b-day dinner for someone else! Heather my honeys sister. Everyone steals my b-day thunder. LOL not really. It's nice to share your b-day!

Sunday oh poor Sunday didn't see it coming. Sunday i let us sleep in only to lead to the demise of our plans. So i ended up.....doing lots of laundry. Discovering the "soak" cycle, the "pre-wash" cycle and the "2nd rinse" cycle on the washing machine. No i didn't use them all for all my laundry just the 2nd rinse was nice for the comforter it needed it. Anyways, i also cleaned my closet (preparing for shopping.....), finished the two bags i have been working on and had a very yummy dinner made by my honey face.

Monday was glorious soccer! There was another girl there and she was really good. Hope she comes back again. The field was wet and there were tons of people there. I think it was the most people i have seen all season! Crazy. And i forgot to give a finished bag to my brother in-law to give my sister. Dang it!!

Today is Tuesday which = buy a meal at chick-fil-a keep the receipt bring it back in October and get the same meal for free!!! So even though it's also an evil place day it has it's good points. Last night i started a baby blanket in the shape of a star and it's really cute! I can't wait to see it finished!! it should go fast enough b/c it's a baby blanket.... i.e. not a giant forever monster blanket that will take over all my free time! (yeah i know i started another one of those as well.)

Tomorrow is magical cuppy cake day/night!!!! Then it's Pocos night (and i guess if you get technical it's my 28th birthday) (and yes i caved and made 3 of my friends agree to go to Pocos with me......what can i say i'm a sucker for Pocos.) Then who knows what the rest of the week holds.

I swear i had something to rant about...but thinking about food has made this foodie distracted. O'well have a yummy day!
